The Last Birthday on Earth is a short film production centered on a couple navigating the emotional weight of a possible apocalypse during what may be their last quiet moment together. The two roles, Cindy and Maxwell, share every scene and must build real on-screen chemistry through restrained, grounded performances. The shoot is a single day, Friday March 27th, with a pre-shoot rehearsal the week prior via Zoom or in person depending on availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform the provided side for your self-tape audition, shooting a full-body slate followed by the scene from the chest up.
• Deliver emotionally specific work in a two-hander scene that moves between domestic warmth, deflection, and understated grief without tipping into melodrama.
• Participate in a pre-production rehearsal to work through character motivation and blocking with the director before the short film shoot day.
• Execute brief physical intimacy as written, including hand-holding, slow dancing, and a forehead kiss within the scene.

• For Maxwell, physical awareness around a scripted leg injury that affects movement and staging.
• Comfort working with a reader-free, low-prep self-tape format without memorization required.
