Experteer Overview As a Lighting Technical Director at DNEG, you apply deep CG lighting knowledge to deliver photoreal results on high-end projects. You collaborate with lighting leads to push quality and industry standards across feature films, TV, or commercials. You work with established pipelines and renderers to solve lighting and shading challenges, driving efficient production. This role offers a hands-on, technically adept environment with opportunities to influence look development and shot lighting across complex VFX scenes. Compensation / Benefits • Light shots to meet high-quality VFX standards • Collaborate with lighting leads and supervisors to shape the final look • Troubleshoot and support production pipelines affecting lighting and rendering • Utilize production renderers (e.g., Mantra, Renderman, Clarisse, Arnold) and 3D software to complete shots • Contribute to look development and shader setup as needed • Show reel and prior experience to demonstrate capability on high-end productions Tasks • Experience on high-end productions (feature films/commercials/TV) • Production experience with Maya and/or Houdini and/or Clarisse • Showreel demonstrating shot lighting and rendering on high-quality productions • Experience troubleshooting pipeline issues • Experience using production quality renderers (Mantra, Renderman, Clarisse, Arnold) Key requirements •
