Game Master/Scare Actor

Escape Hour Vineyard is hiring dynamic, high-energy Scare Actors / Game Masters to help create unforgettable immersive experiences. This is not a retail job. This is live performance combined with precision operations.

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have strong stage presence and aren’t afraid of attention
• Can read a room and adjust energy in real time
• Love interacting with people
• Can stay in character while thinking on their feet
• Are comfortable being theatrical, creepy, funny, or intense
• Have strong awareness and timing
• Are reliable, punctual, and professional

The Role:
You will guide groups through immersive escape experiences, deliver high-energy intros and outros, monitor gameplay, give clues, and maintain full guest immersion. In certain experiences, you will perform as a live scare actor.

This role also includes:

• Cleaning and resetting rooms with attention to detail
• Following detailed reset procedures precisely
• Costume changes between experiences when required
• Maintaining props and set pieces
• Assisting with overall cleanliness and presentation standards

Some nights you’ll be charming and welcoming.
Some nights you’ll be terrifying.

You must be able to:

• Speak confidently to groups of 2–20 people
• Project your voice clearly
• Move quickly between rooms
• Stay composed under pressure
• Follow detailed instructions
• Maintain character and professionalism at all times

The ideal candidate has:

• Acting or theater experience (preferred)
• Haunted house or performance background (a plus)
• High emotional intelligence
• A strong, engaging personality
• A solid work ethic
• Evening and weekend availability

Full training is provided. We will teach you our scripts, systems, reset standards, and performance expectations. What we cannot teach is energy, presence, and commitment, that has to come from you.

This is a fast-paced, high-energy environment. You are part performer, part host, part technician.

Pay: From $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
