Position: Videographer / Content Creator (FTC, 18-months)
Location: Greater London

UK Finance is seeking an experienced and creative Videographer / Content Creator to lead on the development of high-quality video content for our internal and external communications. This role will have end-to-end responsibility for storyboarding, filming, editing and publishing video content that supports UK Finance’s strategic objectives, enhances our engagement with members and stakeholders, and showcases our brand.

This individual will work across all areas of the business to produce compelling content for external and internal audiences. This includes marketing content, event promotion, internal communications, leadership visibility (including the CEO and senior leadership), report and publication animations, and showcasing the work of UK Finance’s policy teams and member organisations.

This is a hands‑on role requiring strong technical expertise, excellent storytelling skills, and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders in fast‑paced and high‑profile environments.

Key Responsibilities Video strategy and content development

  • Lead on the creative development of video content from concept to delivery, including ideation, storyboarding, scripting, editing and publishing.
  • Develop engaging, short‑form content optimised for different channels and formats, including Linked In, websites, internal platforms and event screens.
  • Translate complex policy, regulatory and industry topics into clear, engaging and accessible video content for a range of audiences.
  • Ensure all video output aligns with UK Finance’s brand, tone of voice and communications.

Filming and production

  • Film high‑quality video content across a variety of settings, including offices, external locations and live events.
  • Work confidently with senior leaders, including the CEO and executive team, providing direction and support to ensure strong on‑camera delivery.
  • Manage lighting, sound and filming to ensure a professional production.

Editing and post‑production

  • Edit video content to a high professional standard, including colour grading, sound mixing, subtitling and creation of motion graphics.
  • Create animated content to support reports, data visualisation, explainer content and campaign messaging.

Events and campaigns

  • Support our events through promotional videos, live and on‑site content capture, highlight reels and content adaptable for various channels.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Affairs team to support campaigns and major announcements with engaging content.

Stakeholder collaboration

  • Deliver regular training sessions across the Content team to share knowledge and develop skills using editing software, equipment and best practice.
  • Collaborate with policy teams and external partners to showcase our work and impact.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders to understand objectives and deliver content that meets business needs.

Project and asset management

  • Maintain an organised library of video assets and raw footage for future use.
  • Monitor trends in video, digital storytelling and production technology to continuously improve output.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proven experience in a videographer, video producer or content creator role, with demonstrable end‑to‑end video production expertise.
  • Evidence of a strong portfolio showing high‑quality filming, editing and storytelling across a range of formats.
  • Knowledge of Linked In video best practice and performance optimisation.
  • Advanced proficiency in video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro or equivalent).
  • Experience using technical filming equipment such as a Canon xf605 camera.
  • Experience creating motion graphics and animated content.
  • Confidence filming and directing senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Excellent storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex subjects.

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects to deadlines.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a video production or content creation role.
