Position Description:
The Athletics Videographer I (Assistant Video Coordinator – Football) supports the Athletics Videographer II (Video Coordinator – Football) in all video and technology operations for the University of Louisville Football Program. This position breaks down video of team practice and opposing offense, defense, and special teams for the coaching staff.
Ability to travel and work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Shoot footage of all football games and practices, compile highlight videos, create content for digital platforms, produce statistical reports, and provide technology setup for game tape review, presentations, and game tape exchanges with other college and NFL teams.
- Conduct video breakdowns of opponent and team offensive, defensive, and special teams’ footage for the coaching staff.
- Assist coaches with film breakdowns for games and practice reports.
- Assist with routine maintenance of football video and technology equipment, including troubleshooting hardware/software and setting up and configuring new equipment
- Assist in maintaining media, database, and cloud servers that store large volumes of football program data.
- Maintain effective relationships with coaching staff, peers, administrators, faculty, media representatives, and the public; support efforts to integrate athletics into academic life to complement the University and its mission in the community.
- Assist the recruiting department and coaching staff with data entry and compilation of reports.
- Stay current on evolving NCAA rules, techniques, technologies, and best practices related to football video operations.
- Ensure strict adherence to all NCAA, ACC, ULAA, and University rules and regulations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Three (3) years of related work experience in video and statistical analysis for a Division I Collegiate Football Program, assisting coaches in the preparation of a game plan.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
