Senior Gen AI Solutions Engineer (VFX)

Experteer Overview In this role, you will design and implement custom generative AI workflows that integrate into production pipelines. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to translate new AI capabilities into practical, artist-friendly tools. Your work will span scripting, backend services, and pipeline tooling, applying VFX domain knowledge to real-world workflows. You’ll own solutions end-to-end, from concept through deployment, fostering scalable and reliable AI systems that empower creative teams. Compensation / Benefits • Design, build, and iterate on custom generative AI workflows, emphasizing node-based systems (e.g., ComfyUI) • Prototype and refine artist-facing tools that integrate AI into production pipelines • Write code to extend, automate, and operationalize AI workflows (scripting, backend services, tooling) • Collaborate with research, product, platform, design, and engineering to translate capabilities into usable solutions • Apply production experience and VFX domain knowledge to align with real-world workflows • Incorporate feedback to improve usability, performance, and reliability of tools • Own solutions end-to-end from concept to deployment, documentation, and iteration • Contribute to engineering and workflow best practices for scalable AI systems Tasks • 7+ years in creative tooling for VFX, animation, or high-end media production • Hands-on with node-based AI systems such as ComfyUI or equivalents and ability to extend them • Strong Python programming skills for building tools and automation • Practical understanding of diffusion-based generative models and inference workflows • Experience integrating AI tools into DCC applications or pipelines (Houdini, Nuke, Maya, Blender, Unreal, etc.) • Experience designing and maintaining reliable systems in cloud or hybrid environments • Ability to work in ambiguous spaces and learn new tools rapidly • Ability to work independently in hybrid/remote environments and collaborate across teams • Clear communicator bridging creative and technical perspectives Key requirements •
