Be part of a new Tyler Perry movie filming in Atlanta, Georgia this winter! Destination Casting is seeking local talent to work as paid background actors and stand-ins for scenes produced by TPS Production Services. No experience is required, and this is a great opportunity to gain on-set experience in a major feature film.

A new Tyler Perry project for Netflix, “Tis So Sweet,” is currently filming in the Atlanta area and is casting local background performers and doubles.

About the Film

“Tis So Sweet” stars Taraji P. Henson and is inspired by the real-life story of Lenore Lindsey, a Chicago bakery owner whose life changes after an unexpected discovery forces her to confront her past, heal long standing wounds, and rediscover her purpose. The film also features Joey Bada$$ and is part of Tyler Perry and DeVon Franklin’s faith based partnership with Netflix. The true story went viral in November 2024 and the feature is expected to hit Netflix in 2026.

Role: Hand double for baking sequences
Rate: $225 / 12 hours
Work Dates: December 1 to December 9 (subject to change)

Specs:

• African American male

• Age range: 20 to 35

• Dark brown skin tone

• Slim or average sized fingers

• Must be very comfortable baking and working with your hands on camera

• Any ethnicity

• Age 18+

• Playing regular bakery customers

• You may be booked with your car

• No red or white vehicles if submitting with a car

3) Featured BBQ Worker

Role: Featured worker at a BBQ spot
Rate: $225 / 12 hours
Work Dates: December 1 to December 9 (subject to change)
Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Specs:

• African American male or female

• Appears 25 to 50 years old

• Must be a new face (not previously seen on this production)
