Chicago Med TV Show background extras.

Production is back on the NBC Chicago themed shows. Casting directors for the Chicago Med series are currently looking to cast area locals who would like to work as paid background actors on set. The show premiered in 2015 and is currently filming new episodes for the 2023 season of the show.

The casting notices are listed below.  Please only submit your information if you are local to the Chicagoland area and have the availability needed.  Please see the details of what they are casting for below. Please note that this is only for background actors / extras.

CHICAGO MED CASTING NOTICE:

Chicago PD & Chicago Med – General & Featured Background Roles.

Collecting submissions for Episode 902 of Chicago Med. This submission form is for general background roles, which means they’re open to any gender, ethnicity, ages 18 and older. You must have graduated from high school and not be attending classes at the time of submission.
General background roles pay $126.40/8. The pay rate is a flat rate for any time worked up to 8 hours (it is not an hourly rate), with time + 1/2 after 8 hours.

Subject line: POKER GIRL
Role: Looking for females, ages 20s-30s, any ethnicity, to play scantily clad girls at a poker game. Please make sure to send a CURRENT headshot and full length photo. The photo has to be taken against a plain background and not have other people in the frame. Do not apply photo filters. Submissions that do not follow these instructions will not be considered.
WARDROBE FITTING: Monday 12/11 (afternoon)
FILMING: Wednesday 12/13
PAY: $250/8 + $25 fitting bump

Subject line: SLEEPING PATIENT
Role: Looking for an older male, any ethnicity, ages 40s-60s, with gray/white or salt & pepper hair. You will be playing an intubated patient, so you’ll be asleep in a treatment room. The intubation prop will be secured to your face/head with a strap, and you’ll have to hold a piece similar to a sports mouth guard between your lips and teeth.
This is a director selected role, so it requires a CURRENT headshot and full length photo. Please make sure your headshot is front facing, centered in the frame and well lit. Your full length photo should be taken against a plain background, without anyone else in the picture.
FILMING: Thursday 12/7
PAY: $126.40

Chicago Med:
Subject line: VENEZUELAN MIGRANT
Role: We’re looking for Hispanic (specifically Venezuelan) background actors ages 6 and older to play hospital patients. There are multiple days throughout the episode that we’ll need folks, so please let us know your availability between Thursday 12/7 and Tuesday 12/19. As of right now, we’ll need adult patients on Thursday 12/7, and all ages on Tuesday 12/12. There will most likely be additional dates; this is just what we know for now.
Any children ages 15 and younger will require a minor work permit. If you have one already, make sure to include it in your submission. If you have any questions about obtaining a permit, please email us directly.
WARDROBE FITTING: TBD, most likely Friday 12/8 (for anyone filming on Tuesday 12/12)
PAY FOR ADULTS: $126.40/8 + $25 fitting bump
PAY FOR MINORS: $155/8 + $25 fitting bump
