Bred into the arts at a young age and never stopped. She pursued her studies all throughout middle and high school, college, university, and into the real world. During her education, Saalika dedicated her time to become trained in singing, dancing, and acting. She is multi-talented in several art spheres; performance, fine art, and music.
Shortly after transferring to Towson University, Saalika was accepted into the honors society, Lambda Kappa Tau, a self made film-media production society. Diving deep into making films alongside fellow members, her growth as an actress was challenged and nurtured. She was acting in multiple films every semester and now works alongside LKT alumni in the film industry.
Saalika’s mission is to create and seek out projects that change the narrative of Muslims and South Asians, and Queer POC in Hollywood. She believes that telling stories from such perspectives will impact the industry in showing Eastern brown folk, Muslims, and Queer POC in a more accurate and positive portrayal.
Saalika is based out of Los Angeles, California, with her cat, Peach.
