Alex Epstein is a Los Angeles based composer, orchestrator, and arranger specializing in music for live performance, commercials, podcasts, and short films. She is also passionate about filmmaking and works as a film producer.
Alex holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Composing for Visual Media from Los Angeles College of Music. Her music has been recorded by the Budapest Scoring Orchestra, and she has extensive experience recording with Los Angeles union musicians. * For composing I work from a fully equipped studio capable of recording live musicians, producing professional MIDI mockups, and delivering finished cues using industry-standard DAWs. I’m also able to record and edit foley and sound effects as needed.
* For production, I have my own basic kit and tools, including a clipboard, megaphone, wagon, walkie talkies, film slate, strike tape, basic multitools, playback speaker, digital camera for BTS, tripods, basic lighting, a fast laptop, portable camping battery, a reliable vehicle for runs/errands, and a "recording in progress" light. I also maintain an IMDb Pro and Backstage account.
