See More Glass | Drama Short Film | Vancouver, BC

See More Glass tells the story of Michael, a war veteran who upon his return home, finds himself incapable of fitting within the society and his own family. See More Glass is a character study that delves into the essence of the unwell, however not in the body, but in the mind and soul.

The journey of See More Glass began three months before the idea was even born, with what seemed like a failure, but turned out to be an occasion that brought likeminded, driven, and passionate filmmakers together to tell a story of a struggle within.

“Ali Heraize, the director, approached me with a script for See More Glass some time in December of 2016. One page into script I knew that I would have never forgiven myself if I did not partake in telling this story. Couple of months prior to that, our crew invested into a passion project that, unfortunately, was turned down just a few weeks before going to picture. Everyone, including myself, itched to work and that thirst to filmmaking has done miracles to what See More Glass is now”
– Philip Sukhenko, producer of See More Glass

The film explores certain psychological conflicts such as battles with fears and insecurities; struggles to be understood and heard. To a certain extent, we all can relate to Michael’s agony of isolation, therefore, find our own interpretation of a message that the film conveys.

The trailer for See More Glass film is finally out and it accurately represents the mood of the story. The festival run begins on the first day of summer and promises a one-of-a-kind journey. We invite you to become a part of this adventure and sincerely hope that you will have a great time. Stay tuned!
