Who are you?

You have a passion for fashion, wardrobe styling and an eye for retro looks on this commercial campaign! We’re going to be moving from 1967 through to 2019 in a series of stylized vignettes with multiple actors (up to 10 adults, 2 children). As a team, we are looking for a person with a great attitude who we can rely on to self-start their own workflow to get the job accomplished.

The Role:

We’re looking for a film/tv/commercial wardrobe stylist to join us on a lower budget commercial to be shot in Toronto between October 7th, 8th or 9th (1 DAY SHOOT + 3 DAYS PREP + 1 DAY RETURNS). The project is ambitious, but we know the final results will be impactful, exciting and long lasting for our Ontario-based pizza client! Having done a similar styling project for a docudrama TV series, we have suggestions on how we can work together to keep your workflow manageable based on the amount of time and money available in the budget.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1+ year(s) of experience working in the fashion/film/tv/commercial industry as a wardrobe stylist
  • Experience taking actors’ measurements to select and buy clothing for commercial productions
  • Understands the shopping returns process and creating a breakdown of expenses for the producer to track and follow at the end of production
  • Portfolio of fashion styling or a link to films/tv productions/commercials to see your work
  • Bonus if you understand how to pull out comedy based on retro fashion looks from the ’60s, 80’s & ’90s! This is our goal.
  • Ability to work within lower budget ranges for styling selections (approx. $1K) or collaborate with producers towards creative solutions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, responsible and trustworthy
  • Demonstrate technical, creative and professional expertise
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Non-Union
  • Valid Driver’s License
