Volunteer Cast Needed For Student Film in Van

Logline:

Midlife is a coming of age fantasy drama about a handicapped recluse, Jem, who comes to the MidLife, home to the deceased wandering spirits, to visit his late best friend, Andrew, for one last time before Andrew leaves to the afterlife.

Synopsis:

JEM finds himself stepping in the MidLife for the first time, welcoming him with a mix of informality and solitude. This is the home of the wandering spirits, in denial to leave to the next realm. ANDREW, Jem’s best friend, is one of them. Andrew has everything he needs, except for one thing, his fear to leave Jem alone in the living world. While on the other hand, Jem tries to encourage his buddy to let him go, or else he will become a ghost for the rest of his life. With unfulfilled desires, both men confront each other for One. Last. Time.

Characters

Jem: (Male, Asian, Age 20-30)

Jem is a tough, but brooding, stern and quick-tempered college student haunted by the death of Andrew in a car crash. While Jem struggles with his addiction to loneliness, he still tries to convince Andrew he will be fine alone without him.

Andrew: (Male, Asian, Age 20-30)

Andrew is free-spirited, energetic and outgoing, a complete foil to Jem’s character. On the surface, he may come out as egotistical, brash and arrogant bad boy, but deep inside he deeply cares for Jem’s wellbeing and is afraid of leaving him alone.
