A timid figure, shorter and thinner than the crows surrounding him. Pigeon wishes to simply get by in an uncaring world, where the nail that sticks out gets hammered down. Pigeon moves in a hunched fashion, afraid and self-conscious. This performance is entirely physical, relying more on communicating the character through its body language. There will be some slow, freeform dancing as Pigeon expresses his more graceful, effeminate side. Pigeon’s body language is more akin to the exaggerated performances found in German Expressionism. The audition will be more of a freeform, improvisational session. Please be advised that there are a lot of body movement/performance for Pigeon, so a background/training in dancing would be preferred. Looking for actors who’s height is between 5′ to 5’8.

Male

Visually based on the bearded vulture (or lammergeier), the Vulture is an imposing figure who towers above all the other birds. The Vulture is a symbol of pure power and aggression, he is the force that stamps out those who challenge the norm. This performance is entirely physical, relying more on communicating the character through its body language. Vulture has a very still presence, like the methodical intensity of a coiled snake. Vulture does not need to make a big show of his strength, his presence alone commands subservience. Inspirations to consider are German Expressionism performances (in their exaggerated body language), and also the statuesque stiffness of Godzilla in both the 1954 original, and Shin Godzilla (2016). The audition will be more of a freeform, improvisational session. Looking for actors who’s height is above 6′, with an imposing, brute physicality.
