Purpose of the Role

Our videography team is at the core of Wildkinds Studio – creating world class content that helps our clients teach what they know and stand out as trusted experts in their space. The work you capture becomes the backbone of our educational content systems that drive real growth for businesses, their teams, and the people they serve.

As our Videographer, you’ll bring this to life across shoots for podcasts, online courses, long-form YouTube, Meta ads, and short-form educational content. You’ll work closely with our customer success managers and editors to plan shoots, light environments with intention, and capture clean, high quality footage that reflects our clients’ identity & their intended audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare gear, lighting, and audio setups ahead of shoots.

• Capture high-quality video across podcasts, social content, Meta ads, educational videos, long-form YouTube and online courses.

• Work closely with our customer success managers to understand the strategic intent behind each shoot so your capture supports the outcomes we’re aiming for.

• When required, direct clients with calm confidence, helping them feel relaxed, comfortable and natural on camera.

• Solve small on-set challenges proactively, whether that’s lighting adjustments, audio tweaks, framing refinements or location constraints.

• Back up footage immediately after shoots and deliver it to editors in a clear, well-structured format.

• Maintain gear condition and readiness so everything runs smoothly and reliably from shoot to shoot.

• Actively stay up to date with best-practice shooting techniques, lighting approaches and emerging technologies that can improve our quality and efficiency.

• Bring suggestions to help refine how we plan, structure and execute our shoots so we’re always improving the way we operate.

Skills & Capabilities Required

• Strong demonstrated experience capturing engaging, dynamic and cinematic footage.

• Competent managing all elements of video capture including camera mounting, audio, monitoring and gimbal usage.

• Confident lighting fundamentals and ability to create clean, professional setups across varied environments.

• Experience working with Sony systems (or proven ability to learn quickly).

• Reliable file management discipline.

• Ability to be calm and confident when facing challenges on-set.

• Excellent planning and preparation habits that reduce stress and confusion.

• Strong communication skills – clear, professional, and respectful.

• Ability to understand the intent behind a shoot and execute accordingly.

• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.

• Photography or motion stills experience.

Reporting & Collaboration

This role works closely with our Customer Success Managers to understand the strategy behind each shoot and ensure the content captured supports real outcomes. Our editors rely on clean, structured handovers, so collaboration and communication with them is key. The Founder leads the creative direction and continuously evolves our production systems, and this role works directly alongside them in that process. The position reports directly to the Founder.
