Job Description

• Videographer focuses on the filming (taking the video) itself, including camera operation, lighting, and sound on set.

• Video Editor focuses on the post-production (editing the video), which includes assembling footage, adding graphics, music, sound effects, color correction, and ensuring the final product aligns with the company’s brand guidelines and message.

• The editor must be highly proficient in industry-standard tools and technical processes:

  • Non-Linear Editing (NLE) Software: Complete mastery of professional editing suites like Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.

  • Motion Graphics: Proficiency in software like Adobe After Effects to create branded title cards, animated logos (idents), lower thirds (text overlays for names/titles), and sleek transitions.

  • Color Correction & Grading: The ability to adjust white balance and exposure (correction) and apply a consistent, branded color palette or mood (grading) across all clips. This is critical for visual consistency.

  • Audio Editing & Sound Design: Ensuring clear, balanced audio (dialogue, music, sound effects) and using background music that aligns with the brand’s desired tone and emotional feel.

  • Technical Delivery: Expertise in exporting videos in the correct resolutions, aspect ratios, and file sizes for various platforms (YouTube, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn, etc.) while maintaining high quality.
