Job Description:The Networks of Mid-Missouri is looking for someone who wants to help grow the station’s news product while growing his/her own career. The company is looking for a Videographer. The right candidate will be excited to join a vibrant team of journalists who remain on the cutting edge of this constantly changing field.Job Description:The Videographer’s duties will include shooting video, conducting interviews, running a backpack live unit and using other multimedia tools to gather content for newscasts, the station’s news website and other online ventures. We
are looking for a creative visual storyteller who works productively as a team with a reporter or independently. The successful candidate will be expected to function within the framework of a research-driven news department that emphasizes source cultivation, enterprise reporting and breaking news. Employee must have the flexibility to work in the modern newsroom and could be called upon to beat report, produce, web edit, etc.Qualifications:The right candidate must have a good eye for shooting, an understanding of broadcast video equipment including editing software and superior news judgment. Employee will have an appreciation for the elements that make a live television newscast more watchable. The candidate must work well under pressure, work well with other people and meet strict deadlines. This is a full-time position with flexibility required by the employee. A college degree in journalism, communication or a related field is preferred. Previous newsroom experience is a plus. The position will require operation of a company vehicle or a personal vehicle for business use.
