Our user base has doubled in the last year alone, and we have paid over $1 billion directly to creators on our platform. In order to support this level of growth, Patreon is looking for a Video Producer and Editor to bring Patreon thought leadership content, creator stories and recorded events to life
What you’ll do
The successful candidate will
  • Be an excellent visual storyteller with the ability to shoot and edit footage to tell Patreon’s story.
  • Manage and help build out Patreon’s first in-house production studio, including managing rentals and booking locations
  • Maintain and improve the standard of video, animation and photography created at Patreon.
  • Oversee video production crew and content creation for owned and third party events
  • Manage agency or contractor video producers as necessary to scale creation of Patreon thought leadership content
  • Implement the right video hosting tool to track video ROI and align to broader campaign goals.
  • Create production estimates and manage production budgets, schedules and delivery.
  • Prepare concept treatments, storyboards and animatics/prototypes.
  • Work closely with creative colleagues and cultivate relationships with third party production companies for when production support is required.
  • Partner with the content, design and brand marketing teams to develop and execute our YouTube and related channel programming
  • Collaborate with our Legal Team on consent process and release forms for creators and patrons
  • Repurpose and edit video content for use in other mediums such as podcasts and social

About you

  • 4-7 years experience in video production or related fields
  • Ability to self-shoot video content to broadcast standards
  • Ideally knowledge of, or experience in marketing technology subscription platforms
  • Experience interacting with Executives and Marketing Leadership
  • An analytical mindset, coupled with a healthy love of documenting plans and measuring outcomes
  • Experience with best-in-class video production technologies such as Adobe Premiere, Motion Graphics: Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Audio Editing: Adobe Audition
  • Adeptness at audio mixing, coloring and color correction
  • Experience in podcast production a plus
  • Understanding of the latest social media platforms and trends a plus 
  • High energy and bias toward action with the execution skills to make it all count
