Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Video Editor to assemble recorded footage into a finished project that matches the Our vision and is suitable for broadcasting and digital distribution. You will be responsible for editing a diverse range of content, including marketing campaigns, social media clips, testimonials, and internal communications. The ideal candidate is a master of their technical craft, possesses a strong storytelling instinct, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
Editing & post-production (60%)
- Assemble raw footage and transfer it into a polished, compelling final product using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Edit a wide variety of projects, including long-form videos, social media clips (e.g., for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts), commercials, and internal corporate videos.
- Sync and master audio, including dialogue, sound effects, and music.
- Integrate graphics, animations, and visual effects (VFX) using Adobe After Effects or similar software.
- Implement color correction and color grading to ensure a consistent and professional visual style.
- Ensure all videos adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent tone and style.
Project Management & Workflow (20%)
- Manage multiple editing projects from conception to final delivery, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Organize and manage large volumes of media assets (video files, graphics, music, project files) in a logical and efficient manner.
- Collaborate closely with directors, producers, and other team members to understand project goals and creative vision.
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and execute revisions efficiently.
Creative Input & Pre-Production Support (10%)
- Participate in creative meetings and contribute ideas for shooting and editing to enhance the final product.
- Review raw footage and provide initial selections for the editing process.
- Advise on best practices for formats and aspect ratios for various distribution platforms.
Technical & Administrative (10%)
- Stay current with the latest editing techniques, software updates, and industry trends.
- Maintain and organize editing equipment and software licenses.
- Export and encode final video files in the appropriate formats for web, social, and broadcast delivery.
Job Requirements
Job Qualifications
Education & Experience
- 3-5 years of professional video editing experience, preferably in an agency, in-house creative team, or production house.
- A strong portfolio/showreel is a mandatory requirement for application.
Technical Skills & Software Proficiency
- Expert-Level NLE Proficiency: Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro is typically essential. Proficiency in Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve is a strong plus.
- Motion Graphics & VFX: Strong working knowledge of Adobe After Effects is highly desirable for creating basic animations, lower thirds, and compositing.
- Graphic Design: Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for creating and modifying graphical elements.
- Audio Editing: Competence in basic audio editing and mixing within an NLE or using software like Adobe Audition or Pro Tools.
- Color Grading: Experience with color correction and grading tools within Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
- Asset Management: Familiarity with digital asset management (DAM) and production workflows.
