Responsibilities

  • Making precise editorial changes to videos.
  • Clocking broadcast-compliant final TVCs.
  • Creating graphics for moving or still visuals.
  • Animating motion graphics for videos and animated GIFs.
  • Managing consolidation and media assets.
  • Creating DCP formats.
  • Encoding and transferring assets for approval and final delivery.
  • Uploading asset kits to Digital Asset Management platforms.
  • Researching and investigating clips from various sources.
  • Assisting other operators and producers in gathering resources for deliverables.
  • Transcoding and assembling video assets for rough cuts.
  • Coordinating with creatives, producers, and other teams.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in the media industry.
  • High level of English proficiency is an asset.
  • Understanding of customer care/service principles.
  • Ability to perform quality checks ensuring high standards of output.
  • Knowledge of audiovisual and creative criteria.
  • Ability to adapt to new working methods and practices as technology advances (e.g., AI programming).
  • Willingness to learn new skills and share knowledge with team members.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Media Encoder.
  • Knowledge of Da Vinci is an asset.
  • Understanding of good animation practices, comfortable with 2D & 2.5D animation.
  • Familiarity with After Effects plugins such as Optical Flares and Particular.
  • Comfortable working with Mac OSX, Photoshop, Illustrator, Media Encoder.
  • Thorough understanding of media formats, video codecs, intermediary processes (e.g., EDL, XML, OMFs, standards conversions), and broadcast post-production workflows.
  • Illustration skills are a plus.
