Location: Kampala (Hybrid/Remote options available)

Position Overview:

We’re seeking a versatile Video Editor with Videography skills to produce, film, and edit engaging content for clients and internal projects. You’ll handle everything from shooting raw footage to delivering polished final cuts, ensuring alignment with brand aesthetics and storytelling goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Videography & Production

  •  Film high-quality footage using DSLR/mirrorless cameras, drones, and other equipment.
  •  Plan shoots: Scout locations, set up lighting, and direct on-camera talent.
  •  Ensure technical quality (framing, audio, stability) and brand consistency.

2. Video Editing & Post-Production

  •  Edit raw footage into compelling videos (promos, ads, documentaries, social clips).
  •  Color grading, sound mixing, motion graphics (basic), and seamless transitions.
  •  Adapt content for platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TV, etc.) with optimized formats.

3. Collaboration & Innovation

  •  Work with marketing/business teams to align videos with client briefs.
  •   Suggest creative concepts and stay ahead of industry trends (e.g., AI tools, VR).
  •   Manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Must-Have:

    • 2+ years in video editing and filming (portfolio required).
    • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
    • Hands-on experience with cameras (e.g., Sony A7, Canon C-series), lighting, and audio gear.
    • Strong storytelling sense and attention to detail.

    Nice-to-Have:

    • o Motion graphics (After Effects), basic 3D animation, or drone certification.
    • o Knowledge of marketing trends (short-form video, UGC-style content).
