Arnav Kumar is a graduate of IIT Kharagpur. Leap is his second company and he has raised more than $30M in capital for his startups. In his last role, he was a VC investor with SAIF Partners (Now Elevation Capital), which is an early investor in Paytm, Meesho, Urban Company, Unacademy, and many other unicorns. Vaibhav Singh is a graduate of IIT Kharagpur. He spent his first 6 years at DeutscheBank, across Singapore & Sydney, managing a $3Bn flow book. He has built 2 fintech startups before, as a founding member of CapitalFloat and Incred, both pioneering businesses valued at >$500Mn. The Leap team has a fine balance of industry experience (edtech, fintech, study abroad) and technical skills (engineering, product, design).

Job Title: Video Editing Intern

We are looking for a proactive and trend-savvy Video Editing Intern with a strong interest in visual storytelling. As part of our creative team, you’ll get hands-on experience in conceptualizing, shooting, and editing impactful video content for social media and performance marketing campaigns. This role is ideal for someone who’s eager to learn, stays updated with trends, and brings fresh, creative ideas to the table.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Assist in operating and managing camera equipment during shoots.
• Support shoot logistics, including equipment handling and on-set coordination.
• Edit timeline-based, non-linear video content using Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Create simple motion graphics using Adobe After Effects.
• Deliver polished short-form content for platforms like Instagram Reels and YouTube.
• Stay updated with the latest social media trends and experiment with new shooting/editing techniques.
• Ensure all video content matches current trends and project objectives.
• Collaborate closely with the creative team to brainstorm and refine concepts.
• Take briefs and execute them effectively while balancing creativity and practicality.
• Contribute ideas on execution strategies and support timely delivery of high-quality outputs.

Who You Are (Ideal Profile):

• 0-1 year of experience in video production/editing (internships or college projects count!).
• Comfortable handling cameras and basic production equipment.
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and familiar with Adobe After Effects.
• Experience creating or editing short-form content for Instagram, YouTube, or similar platforms.
• A strong sense of visual style and awareness of social media trends.
• A team player who takes feedback well and can work within deadlines.
