Type: Full-Time
Application: Submit your reel/portfolio and a brief intro to [email protected]

Legion Drilling is seeking a versatile Video Editor & Content Creator with a passion for storytelling and a sharp eye for branding to join our dynamic team in Brisbane. We need someone who can capture, edit, and promote bold, professional video content across social media, training videos, brand campaigns, and industry events. A significant portion of this role involves creating high-quality training videos for internal company use, alongside promotional content. This role requires flexibility to travel and work in the field, sometimes for extended periods, to produce content that showcases our geotechnical, sonic, and environmental drilling expertise. We’re also looking for someone eager to embrace and develop AI skills, with relevant training provided to enhance content creation.

We’re looking for a creative, efficient professional who can shoot high-quality footage on-site, craft it into polished, brand-aligned videos, and strategically post promotional content on social media while preparing standout pieces for conferences and internal training. You’ll collaborate with our team to produce content that captures the energy of our projects across Australia, from remote mining sites to urban construction zones, and supports our workforce with clear, engaging training materials. If you’re passionate about creating visually compelling stories, thrive under tight deadlines, and are excited to amplify our brand and training efforts through multiple channels, this is your opportunity to make an impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Capturing Video Content: Shoot professional-grade footage at project sites (e.g., Western Australia, Queensland) for training videos, project highlights, social media reels, promotional campaigns, and industry event displays, ensuring alignment with Legion Drilling’s bold, professional brand identity.

  • Creating Training Videos: Produce a significant volume of high-quality training videos for internal company use, focusing on clear, engaging content to support employee onboarding, safety protocols, and operational procedures.

  • Editing Engaging Content: Transform raw footage into polished videos, including internal training modules, project showcases, brand campaigns, social media content, and high-impact presentations for conferences and industry events.

  • Social Media Promotion: Create and post promotional video content on platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube, tailoring content to engage industry audiences and drive brand visibility.

  • Conference and Event Preparation: Prepare visually striking video content and multimedia displays for industry conferences, trade shows, and events, ensuring materials reflect Legion Drilling’s innovation and expertise.

  • Branding and Storytelling: Craft videos that embody Legion Drilling’s innovative and professional brand, ensuring consistency and impact across all channels, including internal and external audiences.

  • Syncing and Enhancing: Seamlessly integrate footage with music, sound effects, and voiceovers, with meticulous attention to pacing, transitions, color grading, and audio quality.

  • AI Integration: Embrace AI tools (e.g., for automated editing, color correction, or asset management) to streamline workflows, with training provided to enhance your AI proficiency.

  • Field Work and Travel: Regularly travel to project sites, sometimes for extended periods, to capture and edit footage in real-time, adapting to dynamic field conditions.

  • Feedback and Iteration: Quickly incorporate feedback to meet project goals and deadlines while maintaining high standards.

  • Workflow Management: Juggle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and maintain an organized pipeline for shooting, editing, and posting in a high-volume environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Video Capture Skills: Proven experience shooting professional video content, ideally in industrial, construction, or outdoor settings, using DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, or professional video cameras. Familiarity with stabilizing tools (e.g., gimbals, drones) is a bonus.

  • Training Video Expertise: Experience creating clear, engaging training or instructional videos, ideally for internal corporate use, with a focus on clarity, accessibility, and professionalism.

  • Editing Expertise: Proficient in DaVinci Resolve (preferred) or similar software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro), with a willingness to master DaVinci Resolve if needed.

  • Social Media Savvy: Experience creating and posting promotional video content on social media platforms, with an understanding of how to engage professional and industry audiences.

  • Event Content Creation: Ability to produce high-quality video and multimedia content tailored for conferences, trade shows, or industry events, showcasing brand expertise.

  • Branding and Storytelling: Demonstrated ability to create content that reflects a company’s brand identity, with experience in producing social media content, training videos, and corporate or event-specific videos.

  • AI Enthusiasm: Willingness to embrace and develop skills in AI-driven content creation tools, with a commitment to learning through provided training.

  • Pacing and Style: Strong instincts for timing, transitions, color grading, and sound design to deliver polished, professional videos.

  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel frequently and work in the field, sometimes for extended periods, to capture and edit content on-site.

  • Multitasking and Deadlines: Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and uphold quality under pressure.

  • Communication: Clear, direct, and collaborative communication with team members and stakeholders, both in the office and on-site.

  • Portfolio: A reel or portfolio showcasing your skills in video capture, editing, training videos, social media content, and event or corporate videos, ideally including examples of promotional and instructional content.

  • Eligibility: Full working rights in Australia.
