We are a video production company, specializing in comedy. We are needing an additional, full time editor/camera operator. The day to day tasks are very clearly defined in our operating manuals and our pre-shoot meetings.

Schedule: IMPORTANT

Mon 10 am-7pm

Tues 9:30 am-7pm

Wed 10 am-7pm

Thurs 9:30 am-7pm

Fri 10 am-7pm

Job title: Video Editor/Camera Operator

Description
– Use Premiere Pro, swiftly
– Transfer and organize video and audio files into our system
– Sync multiple layers of video and audio, manually – up to 8 video layers and 8 audio layers
– Edit and trim videos into entertaining bits, according to our SOP
– Blur faces auto-tracking and manually
– Create subtitles
– Basic key frame animation for masks, audio levels, etc
– Add creative flares to bits when appropriate
– Receive critique and revisions by taking notes and making necessary changes
– Adjust the audio of the project appropriately. Add compressor/limiter to audio, according to our SOP
– Export using Adobe media Encoder
– Operate a camera effectively
– Use ND filters and polarizing lens as necessary
– Acknowledge your mistakes and adjust as necessary

Skills Required
– Strong experience with Premiere Pro and After Effects. Must operate fluidly.

– Photoshop masks, clone-stamp, pen tool
– Proven work experience as a video editor
– Understand aperture, ISO, shutter speed
– Understand camera composition and terminology. WS, Medium, CU, 2 shot, OTS
– Strong understanding of composition, timing, motivation, continuity, b-roll
– Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
– Creative mind and storytelling skills
– BS degree in film studies, cinematography or related field
– Know film set terminology and etiquette
– Take ownership of your actions, acknowledge your mistakes, and apologize when necessary.
– See into the future, based on our plan, and take initiative. Especially with b-roll.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
