Poste :

The Audiovisual Unit at UM6P is looking for a talented and motivated Video Editor / Camera Operator to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will primarily focus on video editing and post-production, helping to deliver high-quality content for internal and external communications. In addition to strong editing skills, the candidate must be versatile and capable of handling video production, including camera operation, lighting, and on-set sound when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit video content for various formats (social media, internal communication, events, documentaries, educational content, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the creative team to assemble raw footage into polished final products.
  • Apply basic color correction, sound design, and motion graphics when necessary.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the universitys visual identity and storytelling goals.
  • Operate professional camera equipment during video shoots and live events.
  • Set up lighting and audio equipment for interviews and multi-camera productions.
  • Assist in live stream operations and audiovisual coverage of events.
  • Manage digital assets and ensure organized archiving of footage.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree or formal training in Video Editing, Post-Production, Audiovisual Production, or related fields.
  • Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio showcasing editing skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent.
  • Solid knowledge of camera operations (Sony, Canon, Blackmagic or similar).
  • Understanding of basic cinematography: framing, composition, lighting.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong sense of storytelling and artistic vision.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication skills in English and/or French.

Profil recherché :

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with motion graphics or animation is a plus.
  • Familiarity with audio mixing and sound design.
  • Experience in live streaming and multi-cam recording setups.
