Together, we?ll continue to raise the bar for excellence in civil construction.Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for leading construction projects across our core business areas, including underground utilities, road building, paving, landscaping, property maintenance, and concrete works. This role oversees planning, coordination, cost control, and execution, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and on budget._*Please note: This is NOT a fly-in/fly-out, camp, or rotational role.*_ Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to Fort McMurray, AB prior to starting, as this role requires local presence in the office and on-site. This a full-time, year-round position on a Monday?Friday schedule.*How You?ll Add Value** Actively contribute to and promote H. Wilson?s safety culture, promoting a safe and productive work environment* Plan, schedule, and manage all phases of assigned construction projects from initiation through to final completion* Oversee project scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and quality standards to ensure successful execution* Lead and coordinate field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure effective communication, sequencing, and collaboration on site* Monitor progress and address issues proactively to avoid delays, cost overruns, or safety concerns* Support estimating and procurement efforts by reviewing project requirements, collaborating with Estimators, and ensuring smooth hand-off from tender to execution* Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and regulatory requirements, promoting a strong safety culture across the project team* Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and meetings to assess progress, identify risks, and implement necessary adjustments* Maintain accurate documentation, including schedules, RFIs, change orders, progress reports, and project close-out materials* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment and project satisfaction* Identify opportunities to improve project delivery, cost savings, and efficiency, and implement continuous improvement practices* Support and mentor site supervisors and field staff, helping to foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork*What You Bring** 5+ years of experience managing construction projects in civil construction, including any combination of underground utilities, road building, paving, or concrete* In-depth understanding of Canadian construction standards, specifications, and practices required* CET, PMP, or engineering designation is considered an asset; however, relevant field experience in construction project management will also be considered* Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment* Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating effectively with field crews, subcontractors, and clients* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools; experience with construction ERPs (e.g., Dynamics 365) is an asset* Ability to make decisions confidently and lead by example with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency* Flexibility to work extended hours and travel throughout the Fort McMurray and Wood Buffalo areas as required*How We Make It Count*As part of the Volker Stevin group of companies, we invest in our people by providing industry-leading support, training, and benefits that help you build a rewarding career and a strong future for your family.* *100% Employer-Paid Benefits:* Enjoy industry leading comprehen
