Job Summary:

We are looking for a technically skilled VFX & AV Pipeline Technician with a strong foundation in audio-visual systems and network troubleshooting to support our cruise ship’s AV and media operations. This role is a hybrid of post-production pipeline knowledge and live-event technical support, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, show-critical environment.

As part of the AV team onboard, you’ll work closely with the AV Technical Director, contributing to the setup and maintenance of key show systems. Your responsibilities will include monitor and LED wall calibration, projector alignment, and ensuring media playback environments are optimized and reliable for live productions.

Additionally, you’ll bring your post-production expertise to manage and troubleshoot Deadline Render Farm, set up and maintain render nodes and servers, and handle license server administration for tools like Nuke, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, and Teradici.

Duration: July 2025 to December 2025 (6-months Contract]

Skills required:

– Understanding of Deadline Render Farmconfiguration and operation.

– Familiarity with Nuke, DaVinci Resolve, and After Effects troubleshooting.

– Ability to set up and manage render servers and nodes.

– Experience maintaining and troubleshooting license servers for renderfarm, plugins, Nuke, and Teradici.

– Able to setup and color correct projects and monitors

– Understanding of remote desktop apps such as Teridicic

– Storage Management – e.g RAID configuration

– Basic network troubleshooting. E.g. identifying bad network cables or network switches

– Basic AV knowledge and has experience in solving common AV issues

– Blackmagic video switcher configuration and setup

– Analog Way media server configuration

– Strong understanding of windows server configuration, and linux RHEL server.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

– Basic understanding of Watchout Configuration

– Basic understanding of AMX, able to load a new show from scratch, and to do basic troubleshooting

– Basic understanding of Qsys

– Videowall support for video processors

– Analog Way Media Server troubleshooting

Additional Info:

– At least 6 years of experience as VFX, CGI artist, AV Support or similar in media,film, events, entertainment venue, shows, cruise etc.

– Must be comfortable living and working overseas and onboard cruise for extended periods.

– Flexible schedule, including evenings and holidays.
