We are working with a specialist creative division focused on social impact and geo-political projects to find a talented VFX Artist for a 12-month fixed-term role. You will join a team tackling complex narratives in different regions, using creativity as a tool for change.
About the Role
As a VFX Artist, you will be responsible for seamlessly integrating video assets, imagery, live-action footage, and AI-generated visuals into photorealistic final compositions across a variety of media formats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance storytelling, realism, and the project’s visual vision.
- Ensure outputs are aligned with the company’s OpSec (Operational Security) requirements.
- Provide technical VFX expertise while adhering to industry best practices and compliance standards.
- Troubleshoot production challenges and deliver creative solutions.
- Conduct quality control across all final outputs to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Research and develop new effects and techniques to elevate production quality.
- Report directly to the Team Lead in Sydney.
Knowledge & Expertise Required
Essential:
- Ability to integrate 2D and 3D elements while balancing creative and technical demands.
- Skilled in paint fixes, rotoscoping, chroma keying, colour and grading continuity, graining/degraining images.
- Experience stitching live-action footage plates.
- Proficiency with blue/green screen effects and matte creation.
- Strong grasp of lighting enhancement and shadow realism.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects) and Nuke.
Desirable:
- Experience with DaVinci Resolve, Unreal Engine, CozyUI, AI workflows, and 3D modelling.
Qualifications & Core Skills
- Australian Citizenship is required.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility and discretion.
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
