PETE (35-65) Male
After suffering a serious spinal injury, Pete lost full mobility, and as a result was unable to participate fully in his own family. He was prescribed prescription opiates to dull the pain. Unfortunately they dilapidated his mental state as well. A classic film fan, he spends his days watching old movies – living vicariously through the glamorized lives of those on screen. As a result of these events, Pete has become an absent father. Something he regrets – but has no wherewithal to change.
REALITY TV HOST (20-40) Open
This character is a satirical representation of a reality TV host. Suave and dapper, he spends his days voting people off ‘Survivor Island’. He engages Pete through his television set, breaking the fourth wall, chastising his mental state, and calling his life decisions into question.
SON (18-25) Male
A Teenage son struggling to connect with his father. He is the most sympathetic to Pete’s condition of all those in the family. Unable to connect, he spends his days upstairs in his room, drowning out his family problems with a heavy dose of Classic Rock.
