We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Photographer/Videographer with a strong service mindset and a knack for visual storytelling to join our ISDA Communications Team.

The Videographer/Photographer is responsible for planning, capturing, editing, and producing high-quality video and photographic content that supports the Idaho State Department of Agriculture’s mission, programs, and outreach initiatives. This position collaborates with staff across multiple divisions to visually communicate the agency’s impact, enhance public awareness, and support educational, promotional, and internal communication efforts. The position requires creativity, technical proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines. This position will require frequent travel.
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborates with the ISDA PIO and program staff to determine needs and scope of photography/videography projects.

Develops creative concepts and visual storyboards that align with agency branding and communication strategies.

Plans and coordinates all phases of production, including pre-production meetings, location scouting, and establishing production schedules and timelines.

Captures high-quality video and still photography.

Edits and produces polished multimedia content for use in digital, social media, broadcast, and print formats.

Ensures all visual content complies with accessibility standards and meets agency quality and branding guidelines.

Manages and organizes digital assets, including file storage, metadata tagging, and archival processes.

Maintains and troubleshoots multimedia equipment; recommends new tools and technologies as needed.

Acquires and maintains a current FAA Part 107 drone operator certification within 30 days of hire; operates the drone in compliance with federal and state regulations and safety best practices.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Travel required.
Desirable Qualifications:

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop)

Field-based video production and interview experience
-
Knowledge of or experience in the agriculture industry
