Story Summary:

After a regular date with his little sister, Isaac is on his way home when he realises a lady is getting robbed. Like the good samaritan he is, he puts a stop to it and goes about his day. But in a world designed against you, even a good deed can attract a dreadful outcome. Followed on his way home, Isaac gets confronted by the same guy he stopped, but this time with company. The situation turns for the worst when the cops show up.

Characters:

LILI (Principle): (10-15) Black. A complete princess, she is spoiled by her big brother. Lili is extremely smart for her age and it shows in her mannerisms. Confident, she has been brought up to believe that she is the best. She rocks her afro with pride. Lili loves and admires her big brother and wants to see him do good.

Lauren (Principle): (30-50) Black. Effortlessly beautiful but with an undertone of tiredness, Lauren is the mother of Isaac and Lili. She hasn’t seen Isaac in a while but that’s probably for the best since Rod (her ex) is back in the picture. She can’t seem to shake off these troublesome men. Stressed out of her mind, she can’t seem to catch a break.

Flash (Principle): (18-25) White. A man who tries too hard to be “hip”. Flash doesn’t really know much but he is in love with the idea of the hood. Coming from a rich family, Flash is used to getting what he wants when he wants.

Rodrick (Principle): (25-30) Black. Dangerous looking black man who is the leader of a little gang. Priding himself in his name, Rodrick finds it fun to throw his weight around. The neighbourhood bully. He hates being lied to.

Cop 1 (Actor): A veteran cop who understands how to bend the rules and play the game. He knows he’s protected.
