We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Specialist to join our Post Production & VFX Services team. This role is critical in managing and optimizing high-level workflows across transcoding, file delivery, and screener distribution. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a strategic mindset to translate executive-level requirements into scalable, automated solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Workflow Management & Optimization

• Design, implement, and maintain transcoding workflows for various media formats and delivery specifications.

• Oversee file delivery workflows, ensuring timely, secure, and accurate distribution to internal and external stakeholders.

• Manage screener distribution pipelines, including watermarking, access control, and platform integration.

• Continuously evaluate and refine workflows to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability.

Executive Collaboration & Requirements Translation

• Serve as a technical liaison between senior executives and the post/VFX support team.

• Conduct regular meetings with studio and network executives to gather requirements for content delivery, review, and distribution.

• Translate business and creative needs into practical, executable workflows, balancing speed, quality, and security.

Automation & Innovation

• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and streamline manual processes using scripting, APIs, and workflow orchestration tools.

• Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to integrate automation into existing infrastructure.

• Stay current with emerging technologies in media processing, cloud delivery, and digital asset management.

Cross-Functional Support

• Partner with VFX vendors, post houses, and internal teams to ensure seamless handoffs and delivery compliance.

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for transcoding and delivery issues.

• Maintain documentation and training materials for workflows and tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in post production, VFX support, or digital media operations.

• Expert-level knowledge of transcoding tools (e.g., Telestream, Adobe Media Encoder, FFmpeg), file delivery platforms (e.g., Aspera, Signiant), and screener systems (e.g., PIX, MediaSilo).

• Proven experience in workflow automation using Python, Bash, or workflow orchestration platforms.

• Strong understanding of video codecs, file formats, and delivery specifications for broadcast, streaming, and theatrical.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior leadership.

• Experience working in a studio or network environment is highly preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with cloud-based media workflows (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Experience with digital rights management (DRM), watermarking, and secure content delivery.

• Knowledge of VFX pipeline tools and asset tracking systems.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $88,000-$115,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
