Feature Film October – November: Need COVID Supervisor – Paid

The COVID Supervisor will ensure that workplace and industry guidelines are implemented on-set in conjunction with the Line Producer, Production Coordinator, AD’s and other Department Heads. The COVID Supervisor will report directly to the Line Producer and Production Coordinator.

The ideal candidate will be someone with a health and safety background at construction or film production setting, set medic background, or health and safety supervisor of any kind.

This is a union project Hire role located in Toronto, Ontario. 6 to 8 weeks commitment, Monday through Friday, starting in October 2020.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure that each production meets the health and safety standards on a daily basis
• Ensure employee screening protocols are in place
• Lead COVID-19 health and safety planning in the workplace according to legal guidelines
• Determine requirements needed for each department to comply with guidelines
• Advise the production on best practices on health and safety-related to COVID-19
• Advise the production on transportation planning to ensure safety guidelines are met
• Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
• Provide reports to production management regarding concerns, violations, and compliance
• Ensure required health compliance training for all crew, talent, etc. is provided
• Order and distribute supplies (PPE, disinfectants, etc.)
• Manage staffing and supplies for cleaning and disinfecting including cleaning vendors
• Provide reports to production management regarding concerns, violations, and compliance
• Lead and escalate issues to Production Coordinator/Line Producer.
• Work with all departments to ensure that key entry and egress areas are secure
• Review prep and shooting schedules to ensure required social distancing procedures (pods, teams, etc.) are in place
• Work closely with set nurse
• Stay current on new developments in health and safety to improve the quality and efficacy of production processes
• Establish an on-set network of crew members to assist with the implementation and monitoring of the program

SKILLS REQUIRED
• Knowledge of safety and health standards and regulations
• Knowledge of COVID-19 Safety Guidelines for the Film and Television Industry in Ontario
• Extensive experience working on set with feature or television production setting is preferred, or with construction setting
• Must be a people person who can manage with confidence, maintain policy/protocol with the crew, and operate with authority when needed
• Must be comfortable speaking to groups and providing guidance
• Ability to adapt to varying work environments, possesses a strong pro-active work ethic and quickly adapt to new responsibilities
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proven strong organizational skills including logistics, time management and scheduling
• Strong problem solver in a highly fast driven creative environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Adapting to the latest development of technical skills and industry knowledge

• Health & Safety Training from any recognizable association
• COVID-19 training from any recognizable association
