Senior VFX Artist

A leading mobile games studio is seeking a Senior VFX Artist to join the team on one of the most successful mobile titles worldwide. This is a hybrid role based in Southern Spain (3 days per week onsite).

As Senior VFX Artist, you’ll be responsible for creating stunning, real-time visual effects that enhance the player experience and bring the game world to life. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and the art team to ensure effects meet both artistic and technical goals, balancing creativity with performance requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Design, create, and implement real-time VFX for characters, environments, and UI.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure visual effects support gameplay and storytelling.
• Optimize effects to run efficiently on mobile platforms while maintaining high quality.
• Stay up to date with current trends and techniques in VFX for games.
• Provide feedback and support to other team members on VFX-related tasks.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of real-time VFX work.
• Solid understanding of particle systems, shaders, and real-time rendering.
• Experience with industry-standard tools (Unity, Unreal, Houdini, Photoshop, etc.).
• Good knowledge of game pipelines and performance optimization.
• Strong artistic sense with an eye for timing, motion, and visual impact.

Bonus Points

• Experience working on mobile/casual titles.
• Knowledge of scripting or shader programming.
• Passion for mobile games and interactive entertainment.
