Short Film June 13 – 16th: Need Sound Mixer / Boom Operator – Volunteer

Seeking a Sound Mixer / Boom Operator for a short film in Maple Ridge, BC this June 13 – 16.

– Award-winning Director’s Guild of Canada Director (Kyle Lawrence)
– Highly experienced and professional Director of Photography
– Professional UBCP Actors on board
– Multi-camera Red shoot
– IATSE 669 / IATSE 891 crew are onboard and volunteering
– Great Networking opportunity and great opportunity to gain valuable experience!
– You’ll get a credit, great lunches, and crafty.

Director/Producer has a few other larger projects lined up over the next year or so.
DP is always looking for crew (and often hired by indie projects who are looking for sound mixers).
Other crew are actively working on big shows and always looking for extra help.

IDENTITY is a story about a young adult atheist, Eric, who shows up at the gates of heaven. Through a conversation he has with the man who greets him, he relives many moments of his life which brought him to this point.

It’s a very low budget, all cast and crew are unpaid – however, we’ve assembled an awesome team and called in a lot of favors. We’re going to create something that looks extraordinarily awesome!

With the right sound mixer / boom operator – we’ll make it sound awesome too!

At most, 4 wires plus a boom.

If you have gear, great, we can use yours! But, if you don’t, we have access to most of the gear. Will rent a few wireless mics, but we have recorders, comteks, boom and boom pole.
