Job Summary:

About the Role: We are looking for a Programming Coordinator to join the National Geographic (NG) Wild Europe team, reporting to the National Geographic Programming and Content Director. This role will manage NG Wild programming for the Europe and Africa feed, working closely with local and international teams.

This is a Fixed Term Contract until end of December 2025 and the candidate will work from our Madrid office 4 days a week plus one from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the National Geographic Programming and Content Director
  • Collaborate with the NG Wild Programming team to meet deadlines
  • Screen upcoming programs
  • Work closely with teams in Madrid and London
  • Coordinate with regions included in the Europe and Africa feed
  • Enter monthly TX dates in VPS and WON systems
  • Compile original and localized synopses and titles and input them into the system
  • Create and release monthly schedules and highlights
  • Prepare programming presentations and share with internal and external stakeholders

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems
  • Effective communication skills to ensure timely delivery of schedules in line with department requirements

Experience Required:

  • Fluent in English
  • Previous experience in programming and/or media planning/presentation scheduling
  • Knowledge of factual TV genre is a plus
  • Experience with WON (What’s On) broadcasting software is a plus
