VFX Production Assistant

The role: as VFX Production Assistant you will play a pivotal part in supporting the Production & Supervision show team. You will aid in the smooth running & organisation of the show by providing support in managing the daily calendar, client sends and material that is received. You will work closely with our DSA & Editorial teams to ensure the material is tracked, packaged & sent correctly alongside liaising with the Show Production team to track targets & sends for the day.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing & updating the Production calendar
  • In collaboration with the Production team, track & manage any required sends for the day
  • Alongside the DSA and Editorial team, package up client sends correctly, ensuring submission forms are accurate & correct and material is being sent in accordance to the required tech specs
  • Track all incoming material, ensuring it is downloaded in a timely manner, that the material is reviewed by the Production & Supervision team & it is ingested into the correct location
  • Manage any show tracking documents such as submissions & material received so there is a log of all incoming/outcoming material
  • Setup client reviews, in house or remote so that all material is prepared & loaded
  • Support in dailies & client reviews by taking notes or calling in artists as required
  • Manage internal playlists, review material & ensure all client feedback is added to the Production database & shared with the team
  • SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Proactive problem solver
  • Helps maintain a positive working environment
  • Strong collaborator and team player
  • Able to work independently whilst identifying areas where support is required
  • Ability to work under pressure in a calm and constructive manner
  • Pays meticulous attention to detail
  • Clear & confident communicator
  • Able to prioritise conflicting tasks whilst able to successfully manage their workload
  • Knowledge in Excel alongside a proficient understanding of formulas & pivot tables
  • Self motivator that is able to use their initiative to resolve issues
  • Any of the following experience is a great advantage:

  • Understanding of the VFX or post-production pipeline
  • Previous experience working in a post-production environment
