PRODUCTION ASSISTANT/GARMENT TECHNICIAN

Our department is growing and as a result we are looking for a motivated Production Assistant to join our Head Office team!

About the role
We’re on the lookout for a Garment Technician/Production Assistant to join our close-knit team. This hands-on role plays a pivotal part in our production process – connecting the dots between design, suppliers and the final product, where you’ll help ensure our garments meet the high standards our customers have come to expect. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Creating detailed technical specs for mens and kids product.

• Creating instructional production pages for suppliers to ensure they receive and understand all correct requirements.

• Provide technical garment advice to ensure perfect fit, while considering the final cost and quality of the garment.

• Proactively answering supplier queries, providing technical advice, and staying ahead of potential issues.

• Working closely with suppliers via email and video to make sure our samples and final product meet these requirements.

• Managing incoming samples using our development tracker, critical path, and other software to ensure that our products are produced to the highest standards and delivered on time.

• Conducting fit meetings, feedback and sign-off of all production samples.

• Manage relationships with manufacturers, suppliers and vendors to ensure quality standards and timelines are met.

• Collaborating with other teams to co-ordinate photoshoot sampling, on-time deliveries and quality control

• Helping with quality control checks to ensure bulk production matches expectations.

• Assisting with design-related tasks like resizing artwork, developing trims, artwork or range pages.

• Costing products.

About You:

• You’ve got a qualification in garment design or similar.

• You know your way around the technical and organisational side of garment production – kidswear experience is big plus.

• You’re detail-focused, proactive, and thrive working in a team.

• You’re a clear communicator
