SYNOPSIS: Reunion in Van Nuys tells the story of Dylan and Stephanie, two old friends unexpectedly reunited after four years apart. Over the course of a single evening, they discuss their time away from each other, each surreptitiously probing the other for dormant romantic feelings. Will old passions reignite after a few cocktails? Or will Dylan and Stephanie remain a missed connection, and nothing more?

CASTING:

Dylan, male, late 20’s/early 30’s, any ethnicity

A writer in his late twenties/early thirties, Dylan has filled the years since college traveling, sleeping around, and holding various odd jobs. Buoyed by his wealthy family and never living in one place for long, Dylan finds himself in a far-flung corner of Los Angeles at the start of the story. Unable to find true happiness or stability, Dylan often finds himself thinking about the one who got away: his old friend Stephanie.

Stephanie, female, late 20’s/early 30’s, any ethnicity

A creative, empathetic marketing professional in her late twenties/early thirties, Stephanie has spent her years post-college developing her career. While she has had a few serious relationships, her old friend Dylan still holds a special place in her heart, and Stephanie always wondered what would have happened if she had explored their connection further. And so, on the last night of a trip to LA, she decides to pay him a surprise visit.
