CASTING CALL [TORONTO] NON – UNION – Filming 27/28 November 2019
In search of Indigenous Performers for a TV series TEASER titled WILDS OF CANADA, telling a family story centered around Residential Schools in Canada, during the 1960’s and up to the present day. This is a low-budget project with interest from the National Film Board of Canada. All cast talent will be considered for the full series.

Theophile Bigstone
Male, 20 to 50 years old, Bigstone Cree
Theophile lives on the Desmarais reserve. He is a good fisherman and does not want to lose the fish he worked hard to catch. He succumbs to the cold after rescue.
Simon Cardinal
Male, 20 to 50 years old, Bigstone Cree
Simon is working on shore when he hears Theophile’s call for help. He immediately sets out in a canoe to rescue him.
Sam Auger
Male, 20 to 50 years old, Bigstone Cree
Sam is working on shore when he hears Theophile’s call for help. He and others launch the mission’s aluminum boat to rescue Theophile.
