On Cue Hire is seeking a talented and versatile ENG Videographer/Editor to join our client, a leading national news network’s New York City bureau. This role requires a sharp eye for capturing compelling visuals in the field and the technical expertise to edit content quickly for a fast-paced news cycle. You’ll play a key role in ensuring stories are delivered with accuracy, creativity, and urgency.Key ResponsibilitiesCapture high-quality video for live news, field packages, and studio productions.Set up, operate, and break down ENG cameras, audio, and lighting equipment for field shoots.Edit video content using industry-standard software for broadcast under tight deadlines.Collaborate with producers and reporters to shape visual storytelling and highlight key moments.Maintain and troubleshoot video, audio, and lighting equipment, ensuring readiness for daily use.Organize and archive video footage to meet newsroom standards and deadlines.Provide additional technical or production support as required by the bureau chief.QualificationsMust have prior experience in a local or national news environment.Must be able to travel for field operations.Must be able to both shoot and edit news content.Must be able to respond quickly to breaking news situations.Must have proven ENG camera operation experience.Must have strong editing skills using Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid, or similar.Must have a reel of previous work to share.Ability to work under pressure and deliver polished content on tight deadlines.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or extended hours based on the news cycle.Familiarity with satellite or live feed operations a plus.Knowledge of newsroom workflows and content management systems preferred.
