CONTRACT EDITOR JOB POSTING

The Vancouver-based film company New Theory Pictures focuses on international stories from the worlds of art and culture.  We are in production of a 25-minute documentary about a recently deceased world-famous artist, along with a 10-minute version of the same piece.

This project was filmed in Latin America and Europe and we have access to considerable footage about our subject.  The films will be in English with considerable Spanish language content.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will be based on the Southcoast of British Columbia and will be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. Here’s what we hope you can offer.

• Experience crafting compelling and emotional narratives
• Proficiency in English and Spanish
• The ability to organize a story
• Technical competence, in particular working with Adobe Premiere
• The ability to work with a wide range of footage, including our original film and archival content from many sources

SCHEDULE

We are planning to start our edit in the middle of June and complete by August 15.
