Production: 508 Short Film “Can You Kidnap?”

In-person auditions are not required. Online reels and photos are accepted. Please provide no later than Sunday, February 23rd by 5pm.

Filming dates: Saturday February 29th, Sunday March 1st, Saturday March 7th, Sunday March 8th

STORYLINE: Two goofballs, Jack and Daniel, (think “Dumb & Dumber”) are in need of money. Kiara is fighting her brother and local goon, Tamish, over property of their estranged parents. Jack and Daniel meet Tamish, who gives them a test to kidnap. They reluctantly agree as they need the money, but confusion ensues as Kiara finds out who their boss is, and it completely unfolds for her regarding who her brother is.

JACK

20 to 25 years old, all ethnicities male. A foolishly innocent man who gets roped into orchestrating a kidnaping. Jack will have a choreographed dance sequence, dancing skills not needed (satirical routine)

DANIEL

20 to 25 years old, all ethnicities male. A foolishly innocent man who gets roped into orchestrating a kidnaping. Daniel will have a choreographed dance sequence, dancing skills not needed (satirical routine)

KIARA

20 to 25 years old, all ethnicities female. A woman who is fierce, flexible, and must be able to bring comedy in the face of confusion/conflict.

TAMISH

30 to 35 years old, all ethnicities male. A hefty and strong goon who is mean by definition. He is the leader of a gang and incites fear even though there are comedy elements in the overall film.

LORALAI

25 to 40 years old, all ethnicities female. An Image Advisor for a gang leader (think mob boss) who aspires to be a politician. Confident, clear-cut, and the boss’s right-hand woman.
