This coverage includes the live productions for both in-house scoreboard shows as well as live webcast streams as part of the Big Ten Network’s B1G+ platform. * Working hours occur primarily during Gopher Athletics events, including nights, weekends and some holiday hours. Weekday office hour opportunities are also available for those interested in content creation (video editing/graphics creation). * Part-time, hourly position. Work is based upon event needs and schedules can vary greatly week to week Responsibilities may include: * Camera Operation (stationary, handheld, robotic and cinematic cameras) * Replay, Graphics, Video Playback operation * Tear down and set up of production equipment * Grip/utility * Director and technical director * LED video display operator * Video editing, logging and archiving * Motion and still graphic creation and design * Sideline reporting, play-by-play announcing and color commentating * Office or administrative work * Other production related duties as assigned Qualifications Qualifications * Basic knowledge of computers and video equipment * Interest in sports and/or broadcast production * Experience with professional broadcast equipment including but not limited to Grass Valley, Ross, and Daktronics is preferred. About the Department Since its formation in 2012, Gopher Digital Productions has been the video production arm of the University of Minnesota athletics department, working with all 22 Golden Gopher varsity sports in the areas of live broadcast and on-demand video. Gopher Digital Productions oversees all in-venue video board operations (Huntington Bank Stadium, Williams Arena, 3M Arena at Mariucci, Maturi Pavilion, Jane Sage Cowles Stadium and Siebert Field) as well as the Big Ten Network’s StudentU presence on campus. Additionally, GDP produces all on-demand video content for GopherSports.com, the Gophers official YouTube channel and other outlets, including nationally-recognized behind-the-scenes web series “Brick by Brick” and “Raise the Barn”. Pay and Benefits Pay Range: $28.00 ; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
