Your New Role
This position will support an HBO Documentary Programming executive, and the larger documentary department. Candidates must have outstanding organizational, communication, and multi-tasking skills as well as present utmost professionalism with colleagues and when working with all levels of internal management and outside producers and talent in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
HBO Documentary Programming is seeking a positive team player who is proactive, detail-oriented, highly organized, a clear communicator and a quick-thinking problem solver. Our team culture values enthusiasm, collaboration, and respect for colleagues.
Your Role Accountabilities
- Administrative support to include high-volume scheduling and maintaining complex executive calendars in collaboration with other administrative staff in the unit; arranging executive and talent travel, scheduling calls, video conferences and meetings, processing expense reports, screening and logging phone calls and emails. Other administrative and clerical duties and projects as assigned
- Maintain tracking systems and databases for festivals, awards, programming, delivery schedules, and contacts
- Collaborate closely with assistants and executives across various departments such as production, marketing, media relations, events and content planning
- Communicate with high-level talent and external partners
- Screen projects and provide coverage
- Track industry and competitive landscape
- Assist in screening events at HBO and outside venues
- The position is NY-based, currently with a hybrid work schedule
Qualifications & Experience
- 2-4 years of prior experience as an administrative assistant in the entertainment industry required
- Prior experience with cable/broadcast/streaming outlets and/or documentary production/programming preferred
- Sharp writing and organizational skills
- Top-notch communication skills and propensity to collaborate
- Possess good judgment, the ability to prioritize and execute assignments with precision and accuracy
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and diplomacy
- A tenacious problem-solver, meticulous project manager, and collaborative team player who brings enthusiasm and positivity in a dynamic environment
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and virtual workspace essentials like Slack, Teams and Zoom. Familiarity with AirTable and Monday.com are a bonus.
- Proficiency in creating presentation decks for internal and external partners
- Bachelor’s degree preferred

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $46,417.00 – $86,204.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
