All Interactive Distribution are currently seeking a DVD Pre-Production Assistant to join our physical home media team, in support of our DVD Production Supervisors across the pre-release workflow.  

AID boast an ever-growing catalogue of distribution rights as primary Home Entertainment licensees of Sony Pictures, Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Studio Canal and more.  

Our Pre-Production Assistant role is ideal for candidates looking to start a career in home entertainment with a keen interest in film, television, pop culture and physical media collectability.   Key areas of support include, but are not limited to:

Exploitation of Catalogue Rights

Flex your film buff expertise as you work to identify additional opportunities within our catalogue, including New-to-HD and New-to-UHD release opportunities, Collector’s Editions, re-issues and more.   Each studio has their own methods, portals, and processes – our team will teach you how to determine format and material avails, market viability and more!

 

Classification in Australia & New Zealand

Visual acuity and an ability to learn quickly is essential, as AID frequently submit DVD, Blu-Ray and UHD home video releases for censorship in Australia & New Zealand.  This includes studying for, and passing, the Australian OFLC’s Accredited Classifier Exam.  Once accredited, watching, annotating and submitting media classifications to the Australian OFLC will become a routine aspect of this position, as will New Zealand OFLC/FVLB submissions.  Classifying film and television requires adherence to numerous guidelines, a rigorous attention to detail is key!

 

Asset Preparation

Each of our physical releases need packaging art and disc labels – you’ll work hand-in-hand with our DVD Production Supervisors and in-house Design Studio to keep outgoing art assets accurate, studio-approved and up-to-standard.  When we engage local authors to create discs from scratch, you’ll also help quality check sample discs as needed to ensure design integrity and function.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office
