STORYLINE: A family gets together for a backyard barbecue and it’s too weird to handle. We watch them struggle to interact and not be awkward.
SEEKING THE FOLLOWING ROLES:
[DAD] 35 to 65 years old, all ethnicities male. Dad is a disgruntled, reluctant man who is forced to the dinner table by his loving wife to spend time with his weird family. BOAT LICENSE/ JET SKI EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS.
[MOM] 30 to 65 years old, all ethnicities female. Mom is a loving, bubbly and flamboyant woman who loves to tend to all the needs of everyone in her family. She’s a bit unhinged and an alcoholic.
[GRANDMA] 50 to 75 years old, all ethnicities female. GRANDMA is the life of the party. She doesn’t talk much but when she does she loves asking her family the same questions over and over and over.
[GRANDPA] 50 to 75 years old, all ethnicities male. GRANPA is the coolest guy in the room. He never speaks, he just grunts or points at what he wants. He’s a very successful business man whose fortune has been run into the ground by his uninspired children.
[UNCLE] 30 to 65 years old, all ethnicities male. UNCLE is the black sheep of the family. Never follows orders, he makes his own. Divorced three times, no kids. His prized possession is his jet ski that is always broken. BOAT LICENSE/ JET SKI EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS.
[KID] 10 to 18 years old, all ethnicities male. KID is the youngest in the family. Never leaves his room. He isn’t concerned with much other than his collection of replica swords and showing everyone he meets how cool they are.
[DAUGHTER] 16 to 30 years old, all ethnicities female. DAUGHTER is perpetually annoyed and bored. She believes she’s adopted but no one in the family will ever tell her. She lives on the internet and uses her family for content.
