INCALESCENCE is a 55-minute Black romcom-drama exploring creative identity, intimacy, and emotional risk. Written and directed by Ahana B. Murumbi (A Girl Named Abigaël), this film is produced under AYORHA as part of the Times Three Initiative — a collaborative project between 3 emerging filmmakers developing independently-distributed debut features.
🎭 Casting 2 Lead Roles:
Teia (Lead Female)
Black woman, 20s. Any build. Natural hair or protective styles (locs, twists, braids) preferred. A quirky, guarded photographer with awkward charm.
AJ (Lead Male)
Black or mixed man, late 20s. Calm gaze, lean or athletic build. Confident presence with expressive movement. Dance ability preferred.
🎥 Shooting: August 2025 (Downtown Montreal)
💰 Payment: $100 CAD
📩 Deadline to submit: June 10th
Zoom auditions will follow for selected candidates. Script sides will be provided in advance. Final casting decisions within 1–2 weeks after zoom auditions.
