Salary: R18 000+ per month (dependent on experience)

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and creative Assistant Video Editor to support the production of high-quality video content across multiple platforms. This role is ideal for someone with a strong eye for storytelling, solid technical editing skills, and excellent organisation, who thrives in a collaborative, remote working environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in editing video projects, including promotional videos, social media content, and long-form content.
• Organise and maintain raw footage, project files, and asset libraries.
• Trim, assemble, and refine footage to ensure smooth transitions and alignment with creative direction.
• Add graphics, text overlays, music, and sound effects where required.
• Collaborate closely with the Senior Video Editor and creative team to implement feedback and revisions.
• Ensure all video outputs meet brand guidelines, technical specifications, and deadlines.
• Support exporting, rendering, and delivery of final video files.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and/or DaVinci Resolve.
• Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, resolutions, and file management.
• Experience working with social media video formats (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn) is advantageous.
• A creative eye for pacing, timing, and visual storytelling.
• Ability to work under deadlines and adapt quickly to feedback.

Package & Remuneration

R18 000+ per month (dependent on experience)
