Amazon Show in Nashville Needs Extras

Background extras casting directors from JA Casting (Jenny Alison) have announced a new Amazon series currently in development.

Filming for this Amazon project will take place in Nashville this fall, with casting directors looking to hire numerous background extras. Production is scheduled to begin in late October and continue through early March. While the casting announcement does not confirm the series’ name, it is believed to be connected to “Kay Scarpetta” or “Scarpetta,” though conflicting reports exist regarding the title.

The upcoming Amazon Prime Video series, Kay Scarpetta, is based on Patricia Cornwell’s acclaimed novels. Created by Liz Sarnoff, the series is produced by Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis, who also star in the show. Known for its meticulous attention to forensic science, the story follows Dr. Kay Scarpetta, a brilliant forensic pathologist solving intricate criminal cases.

General Information:

• Rate: $100 for 8 hours ($12.50/hour with a guaranteed 8 hours and time-and-a-half pay for overtime). Must be available for up to 12 hours if needed. Call times will be provided the day before filming.
• How to Submit:

1. 1970s Looky-Loos and Law Enforcement (Tuesday, December 3)
   • Who:
     • All genders, ages 18–75, for crowd roles.
     • Men and women, ages 25–60, to play 1970s cops/detectives.
   • Details:
     • Appearance must suit the 1970s era. A fitting is required before filming.

2. OCME Staff (Wednesday, November 27 & Tuesday, December 10)
   • Who:
     • All genders, ages 30–60, for Office of the Chief Medical Examiner staff roles.
   • Details:
     • Must be available for both dates.

3. Upscale Male Restaurant Patrons (Tuesday, November 26)
   • Who:
     • Men, ages 25–55.

4. Featured Role: Attractive Male Dancer (Friday, December 13)
   • Who:
     • A very attractive white male in excellent physical shape, early 30s, comfortable dancing.
   • Rate: $175 for 8 hours.
